Towser puppy pictures. The first day at the shelter, sleeping on the couch with Mom so he could go outside to potty every hour, ordering his first meal at Sonic and getting beat down by Tex the cat...... again.

Here he is for his first "swim" - he fell into the creek and then couldn't get out. As he started to grow we were all hoping he would grow into those ears! He loved to chase frogs with his buddy Kelsie.
He really started catching frisbees (Flippy Floppers) at 4 months - lots of determination on his little face! :o)
First obedience class - Various early agility - Practicing frisbee in all kinds of weather - And of course Towser laying on his high dollar Orvis "Chew proof" bed (That he chewed holes in about an hour) That's the Towse.
Christmas time. Many children don't get THIS many toys. Little kids always have something tasty on their fingers - and finally Christmas wears a fella out.
OK, so it's time to start competing. First stop, Lawrence, KS for the Skyhoundz local championship. Towser won first place by half a point! First event, first gold medal - off to a good start. That's him on the left posing with the top three - as you can see he is being his usual well behaved self.
Next we pack up and go to Colorado. He doesn't care much for not being able to free roam in the vehicle. But the second picture shows he adapted well to motel life, figured out how to get his own drink by standing on the toilet and lapping from the sink. Yes we know he is spoiled. The event was great but Towse was tired and didn't really have it that day. We hadn't fully figured this whole traveling and performing thing out yet. No winnings to report. But on the upside we spent the next couple of days in the mountains and hiked about 3 miles up a trail in the snow where he got to rock dive in a mountain stream - then was pretty wore out - need mountain trails more often! :o)
Next trip was up to Iowa. Stopped in Doliver park at "Boneyard Hollow" where I spent many hours playing frisbee as a misguided youth. "Now son, don't do the things I have done".... etc etc - Then last minute discussion of the event between man and dog - Then some good catches. But at the end of the first round the very second the judge said "time" to signify that the round was over, Towser spit out the frisbee and decided he wasn't shy and had to drop a land mine in the middle of the field for the next competitior. But if you enlarge the picture you can see all the smiles on faces... so he's entertaining anyway! :o) At least he waited til the round was over! Won a third place medal!!! Way to go Towse!
Thanks to our good friends at Paw Prints magazine, Towse got to perform at the halftime of the Kansas City Wizards professional soccer team game. Thousands of people and he kept his focus!!
Next we were off to Indiana for the Skyhound regionals, by way of the St. Louis arch. More motel life as this was a two day event. We were more prepared this time, with Towser having his own canopy tent and crate and "Woodstock festival" cover! I didn't throw well but Jackie, who just started throwing a disc a month before this event came in 1st in Distance and accuracy and 3rd in Time trial in the novice division! We both teamed up in the team time trial event and although Towse had the focus we came up a bit short. World champ Tony Hoard presented Jackie with her second plaque and asked me "Whose dog is it?" :o) - Ouch - What can I say? She had a good teacher. :o) They were all great people over there and did give me the most coveted award of the tournament, the "Most fun wins" which was true cause I had a blast!
